The Class A Barber Program prepares students for licensure and employment in the barbering industry through comprehensive training in haircutting, shaving, beard design, chemical services, haircoloring, skincare, infection control, and client communication. Students gain hands-on experience in a clinic-floor environment while developing the technical, professional, and business skills needed for success in modern barbering. The program includes 19 credit hours (700 hours) of core curriculum shared with cosmetology and 8 credit hours (300 hours) of advanced barbering specialty training, preparing graduates to take the Texas Class A Barber licensing examinations and enter a high-demand career field.
