Academy @ The Institute Rockwall
Private High School
Bringing Lamar State College Orange to Rockwall County
Beginning in the Spring 2027 semester, The Institute Rockwall is proud to introduce Academy at The Institute Rockwall, a private high school serving students in grades 11 and 12. The Academy will combine high school completion with career-focused college opportunities, giving students a supportive local pathway to begin earning college credit while preparing for their futures.
Academy at The Institute Rockwall offers a flexible hybrid approach that combines online learning with a minimum of three face-to-face, in-person sessions in each course. Students may choose to take part or all of their coursework as dual-credit courses, allowing them to personalize their education while earning high school and college credit simultaneously.
As Rockwall County grows, families need more educational options beyond the traditional brick-and-mortar setting. Academy at The Institute Rockwall offers a flexible private high school experience for students who learn differently but still want meaningful connections with like-minded peers their own age. Students can explore career pathways in criminal justice, personal care services, business, education, and other fields while building friendships, earning college credit, and preparing for rewarding careers close to home.
3 HR Dual Credit College Course - $135
Students enrolled in the Dual Credit program are admitted and registered as college students, pay college costs at a greatly reduced rate of $45 per credit hour, and generate a college transcript at the end of the course. All course credits earned are fully transferable to any public college or university in the state of Texas and to most other colleges and universities as well.
Eligible dual-credit students may also receive support through Texas’ FAST program, which can cover tuition, fees, books, supplies, and required course materials. Because FAST generally requires current enrollment in a Texas public school district or public charter school, Academy families should consult The Institute Rockwall and LSCO to confirm eligibility and explore available funding options.
